Intro

Singapore is a city-state in Southeast Asia, located on an island just south off the Malay Peninsula. The city of Singapore is quite well known for being a business and financial hub and consequently one of the wealthiest cities in the world!

Despite its population of 5.6 million people, Singapore is one of the greenest cities! Its population comes from a number of different cultural backgrounds, which is why Singapore has 4 official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil! For tourists, this means that one, you can easily get by with English. And two, you will get a glimpse of different cultures as well as their awesome and distinct cuisines all in one city trip!

Singapore is a great place for a layover, not lastly due to the city’s impressive airport: Changi Airport. The latter is one of the biggest airports in Asia and a great hub to stop by, when travelling between Asian countries, but also to break up intercontinental travels!

We spend 5 days exploring the country of Singapore in July, as well as a long layover exploring Changi Airport a few months later!
